Philosophy

Change is not only possible, it is inevitable.  Neuroscientists have discovered that the brain never ceases to grow and change during the course of our entire lives. New connections are always being made. The implications of this are huge. We can heal. We can change. We can learn. We can develop new ways of looking at the world.

I chose to become a psychotherapist because it’s a role that reflects my personality, but also because it’s a profession that challenges me to develop over my career life; to continue to grow with age and experience. My style is very interactive.  I will be in relationship with you as an active participant in your healing.  I will engage in lively dialogue with you to help you reach your goals.  I offer an environment which is nurturing, supportive, compassionate, and free from judgment or negativity.

I believe passionately in the power of the human spirit to overcome adversity, whether it is something we have brought on ourselves, or something that is outside of our control.  Each person has incredible strength to heal.  Time and time again, I have seen clients, armed with fresh insight, gain new perspective and new skills, overcome their challenges and move past their pain.  It is those poignant moments of transformation that remind me why I love what I do.  I have a deep sense of gratitude for the people I’ve been privileged to have assisted on their path to recovery.

Whether your difficulties seem small or insurmountable, they often interfere with your ability to enjoy life fully. I will help you understand the obstacles that undermine your happiness and teach you new skills to overcome them. I can help you get there.  I can help you Open the Door to your own intuition and inner nature, to discover the strength that is already there within you.  I am deeply committed to helping you discover your capacity for a more meaningful and purposeful life.

I offer a complimentary 30 minute consultation because I know that choosing a therapist is a very important decision. Taking the first step can often be the most difficult step to take but delaying only further compounds your difficulties. Call me at 303-277-9407 or email me to set up an appointment and cross that threshold toward positive change in your life.
